An ordinary morning prayer meeting continued for more than twenty hours, with the power of the Holy Spirit causing children aged six to eighteen to deeply grieve for sin and experience true repentance. Most notably, even the usually spiritually dead Chinese teacher was moved by the Holy Spirit and knelt down to pray and confess his sins for the first time. The work of the Holy Spirit brought spiritual results completely consistent with Scripture. First, all children touched by the Holy Spirit received clear assurance of salvation and were truly born again. Second, over twenty children began speaking in tongues, just as on the Day of Pentecost. Third, they began prophesying, with God speaking directly through them, conveying His heart. Fourth, the Holy Spirit showed them the unseen world, including the things of Christ and things to come. Fifth, these experiences sparked their intense interest in the Bible and fervor for prayer and praise. Sixth, they began preaching in the power of the Holy Spirit, with even small children able to proclaim the gospel with authority. Finally, they even experienced the miracle of casting out demons, seeing devils being driven out of people.

This is one of the most wonderful chapters in the book, detailing the marvelous experiences of the children being caught up in the Spirit to the third heaven and entering the New Jerusalem. They saw this four-square city was actually three cities stacked on top of each other, forming a pyramid shape, with God's throne at the top. The walls were jasper, the foundations were twelve precious stones, emitting wonderful radiance. The children entered through pearl gates, walked on golden streets, and saw angels welcoming them. They visited houses on both sides of the streets, with each room having golden tables, chairs, beds, chests, along with crowns, harps, and trumpets. Most importantly, they met the Lord Jesus, bowed down to worship Him, and experienced the incomparable joy of heaven. They also met previously deceased Adullam boys, praising God together in heaven.

Chapter 5: Paradise

Scripture teaches the regeneration of natural creation, and the paradise the children saw in heaven is exactly the higher level of the Garden of Eden that God prepared for His children. This paradise is a wonderful "park" with incomparably beautiful trees and flowers, emitting fragrances that surpass any on earth. In paradise there are beautiful birds of various colors singing praise, and various animals, including gentle lions, deer, elephants, and lovely small animals. The children could ride on the animals and play, with everything being perfectly harmonious love. In paradise, they could eat fruit from the tree of life and manna, and drink from the river of the water of life. They also saw biblical saints, including Abraham, David, Peter, Paul, and others, all clothed in white, with none being old.

Chapter 6: Angels in Our Midst

During the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the children often saw angels appearing among them. Scripture teaches that angels participate in the work of the Holy Spirit, and the children's experiences confirmed this. They saw angels flying from heaven to earth, angels guarding them in the room, angels guiding them to heaven, angels teaching them heavenly music and language. Most specially, when the presence of the Holy Spirit was particularly evident, the children saw a large angel above the room, with the room surrounded by smaller angels, standing shoulder to shoulder, forming a complete circle, not allowing any demons to enter. The presence of these guardian angels ensured the peace of the meetings and the smooth progress of the Holy Spirit's work. Each saved person has angels ministering to them, each child has angels guarding them, and these angels always behold the face of God.

Chapter 7: The Kingdom of the Devil

Just as heaven and angels are real, hell and demons are equally real. The children clearly saw the truth of the kingdom of darkness. They saw demons of various sizes, some as tall as doors, with pointed chins and warty heads, resembling the images of demon idols in Chinese temples. Demons are divided into different ranks, with earthly demons and evil rulers in heavenly places. The children saw the government of the rulers of the air in mid-heaven, where there are thrones from which Satan's angels rule the forces of darkness on earth. They are jealous and contentious with each other, maintaining their positions only through strength. The children also saw the terrible scenes when the unrepentant die: demons bind them with chains and drag them to hell. They also saw the lake of fire in hell and heard the wails of the lost within it.

This chapter records important visions about the end times and Christ's return. The children saw that in the final great tribulation, there will be famine, pestilence, war, and desolation. They saw the appearance of the Antichrist, who is the incarnation of the devil, handsome and strong in appearance, with large numbers of demons following him. During the great tribulation, true saints will be endowed with supernatural power to resist the forces of darkness; they will be able to speak in tongues, perform miracles, and even be caught away by the Holy Spirit to safe places. The children saw the final world war, with mutual slaughter using poison gas and advanced weapons, with corpses piled like mountains. Then Christ suddenly returns, the sun becomes dark, the moon turns to blood, the stars fall, the earth shakes greatly, and unbelievers are extremely fearful, wanting to flee from the wrath of the Lamb. After Christ's descent, there will be the great supper of God, with birds coming to eat the flesh of kings and mighty men on earth.

In this chapter, a former beggar boy only ten years old was used by God to become His spokesman, bringing direct revelation. This child was taken in vision to the feet of the Lord Jesus, and the Lord spoke through him, conveying an important message. The Lord said He had prepared heaven for everyone, building three great cities in the New Jerusalem, one above another, but there were too few believers, and He was heartbroken with sorrow. The Lord warned that due to the world's wickedness, He would judge the earth with four great calamities. He encouraged believers to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and to preach and witness. The Lord also prophesied that the devil would come to earth, bringing great tribulation, but He would protect those who belong to Him. Finally, the Lord said He would come to judge the earth, destroying two-thirds of people, with only those who believe the gospel being saved. This prophecy was completely supernatural, proving that God still speaks through pure vessels today.

Chapter 10: Some Light on Writing the Bible

This outpouring of the Holy Spirit provided important insights into how the Bible was written. First, the fulfillment of prophecies proves that the Bible was written by God, because only God knows the future. Second, God chooses the ignorant and unlearned to convey His revelations, just as He chose these Chinese beggar children, proving that God's revelation does not depend on human education or natural ability. Third, some children in the Spirit personally witnessed historical events from the Bible, including miracles from both Old and New Testaments, showing that God can show people past, present, and future events through visions. Fourth, when some children in the Spirit described the visions they saw, another child also in the Spirit would sit down and go through the motions of writing, recording item by item what others saw and described, clearly explaining how the Bible was recorded. These experiences prove that the Bible is indeed the Word of God.

Chapter 11: The Homeland

This chapter poetically describes the beauty of heaven as the true homeland of believers. There, aged and weary bodies will be renewed in the fountain of youth, "in the twinkling of an eye we shall be changed," "this corruptible must put on incorruption." Heaven is a city that never gets dark, needing no sun or moon to shine. There are no doctor's signs there, no sickness or disability, no sorrow or pain; there is no mourning crepe on the golden doors, no funeral processions on the golden streets; there melancholy and all mourning are done away; there death is completely swallowed up by abundant life; there is a city of pure unlimited joy. The finest music on earth is only seeking for the lost chords, and these chords find perfect expression in the golden city of heaven. In heaven, everyone is "in love," everyone loves everyone else, and no flaw or imperfection will detract from this perfect love.

Chapter 12: The Way

The final chapter points out the only way to reach the heavenly homeland. Christ is the way, "No one comes to the Father except through me." Man himself is not the way, can never make a way, nor knows the road to the golden city. Man naturally walks away from heaven, and the farther he walks, the farther he gets from the city. To reach heaven, the only way is to turn back, "Unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." But man can never find God through human wisdom, nor can he ever enter the golden streets through human character and good works. Salvation is God's grace, "not by works." The author uses personal testimony to explain the way of salvation: acknowledge that you are a sinner, believe that Jesus died on the cross in our place, accept Him as our substitute and sin-bearer, and God will receive us as His children and give the Holy Spirit to our hearts, causing us to be born again from above. This is the only way to heaven.
